Pump size for a new shallow well

Postby lwparchive » Tue Nov 06, 2012 2:54 pm

I am installing a shallow well for lawn irrigation purpose in my yard and need to get an idea what size pump will I need.
The irrigation system consist of 5 different zones with the largest zone feeding 6 sprinkler rotors at 3 GPM ea. I was able to drop or install in the ground a 1 1/4" well point 8' tall at a depth of 27' bottom of the point.
This is located south of windermere/lake butler area. Ground elev supposed to be 102'. I went thru a sandy layer between 8' to 16' deep then it was another 5' of what I think is called hard pan. My question basically is I need to install another point and what size or model goulds pump I need to purchase. Let me know the cost.
Thanks

Sizing the pump for your application is difficult because we do not know what the well can produce. Because of the low volume, I would suggest either the GT07 or GT10. Pricing is on our web site.
