Replace a larger submersible with a smaller one

Postby lwparchive » Tue Nov 06, 2012 3:44 pm

I have a well that the drillers well report says that it blow tests approx.
100gpm. I have a 10 HR volume pump in it now flowing 66gpm at 40 psi. I use this for irrigation. I would like to go to a smaller horse power pump with a little larger gpm ( like 80gpm) and a higher psi (like 60 to 70 psi). I have
3 phase 460 v power. I am using 5" wheel lines. 23 heads. piping is about 1200' in length. Water table is at 100'. what can you do for me.

I believe the 75GS75 would do the job. This will drop you down to a 7 1/2HP pump.
