How many gallons per minute should I have

Postby lwparchive » Tue Nov 06, 2012 4:15 pm

I would like to know what type of well pump I should buy.

Pump is at 110 feet, it's a two wire and the breaker is marked 20amp double pole. Does this make it a 230 volt?
I have three households on one well pump, two are rental properties. The present pump is 1/2 HP I believe. How many gallons per minute should I have?

Yes, that would make the pump 230 volt if it on a double pole breaker. You could have upwards to a 13 gallon a minute rated pump if the pump is 1/2 HP.
