Sprinkler system pump help

Postby lwparchive » Mon Nov 05, 2012 4:55 pm

I am in the process of replacing an aging shallow well pump that is used to
power a 6 zone in-ground sprinkler system. I am looking at the Gould J7S,
but I have some questions about the pump specifications, namely the current
draw. The details of my system if it helps: 13'7" well depth, looking for
45 psi, the largest zone is 5 pop up rotor heads with approximately 12 GPM.
I am limited to a 120V/15 amp circuit. Would this pump fit my situation or
do you have another recommendation.

Thank you for your time and help.

If your zone is 12 GPM per head, then no, the GT07 will not work. If it is 12 GPM total, then you probably will be okay, although, the 45 PSI may be a concern.
