Pump size for a house

Postby lwparchive » Tue Nov 06, 2012 11:58 am

Pump System that is currently installed is a Gould's J04853L/J5SH/V250, we would like to replace this with a more efficient system.

The house has 3 stories, 3 full bathrooms, 1 half Bathroom. The master bathroom has 2 shower heads. It has 3/4" copper piping for most of the lines. The Master Bathroom is furthest from pump.

The present pump is fed by an underground pump that outputs about ~5 -10 GPM.

The pressure with the present system is very poor if two bathrooms are in use and/or wash machine, etc.

Please let us know about a system that would make it more efficient. Please also gives the cost of system with all part needed for the upgrade.

Thanks,

Richard.-

You might want to look at the Aqua Boost system. The biggest issue is that the pump must a have a constant flooded suction. At the same time, you will need to make sure your well pump can keep up with new pump. this system will definitely deliver a higher output pressure.
