I plan to purchase the Gould GT15 Irri-Gator pump from you but would like some questions answered first .if you would be so kind. I am going to use the pump to water a large area around my house and I would be pulling the water from a lake about 30 ft. from the pump’s location with a rise of 5 ft.
I would be using a solid pvc 1-1/2 in delivery with an attached pond filter in the lake. I am assuming I would not need a check valve for your pump which is self- priming , correct ? I plan to use 110V current for this
year but may switch over to 220 V in the future. I also would like to use
a regular long garden hose this year but may switch to a underground timed system in the future . Can I use a pressure switch on the hose side so that the pump would only run when I opened the hose sprayer? If I can do this I would need to know which unit that you sell to purchase . I would also like to purchase a pressure guage as well . Is there anything else that I should buy to make this system work?

I would still recommend a foot valve on the end of your suction line. At the same time, you can use a pressure switch on this pump. Be careful not to allow the pump to short cycle. The pump, pressure switch and gauge can be found on our website.
