Pump turns off real quick

I bought a Goulds 1 1/2HP multistage pump. The question is- After turning on a hose bib, the bladder tank drops to 30PSI in a couple of minutes. The pump kicks in and goes to 50PSI in a few seconds. This happens during the use of the open hose bib. Is this proper operation of this pump/system? Thank you

This is not proper operation. The pump sounds like it is short cycling. You may need to open more hose bibs to keep this from happening.
