Grit or dust in my water

Postby lwparchive » Mon Nov 05, 2012 5:04 pm

I have been having problems with my well. I recently stop having pressure in my house(I have never had much to began with). I had a well service come out and the man said my water treatment system was stopped up. He by passed the treatment system and restored water to my house. Now I am having a fine grey dust or grit in my water that settles in the sinks, washing machine, toilets. I called the well service and they said I would most likely need a new well. The one I have is six years old and there are only three in my household. I just want a second opinion and a couple of estimates from other drillers before I decide what to do.

Thanks Patrick

You may need a new well. OR, maybe the well had some sort of cave in causing your problem. It may even be a situation where the well is still trying to develop. The best thing to do is to have a couple well drilling companies take a look. They may also be able to arrange to have the well videoed to determine if there is a problem with the well or possibly your drive shoe.
