Water Leak at Motor Housing

Postby lwparchive » Tue Nov 06, 2012 3:12 pm

I have a gould jrs10. It has worked great for my application. It developed a slow trickle water leak where motor housing meets casing at bottom where the two meet. The four bolts are as tight as they can go. Should I replace O ring? I would appreciate any recommendation. Except for the very slow leak it works fine. The trickle is constant as long as the pump is under pressure so I do want to stop the leak.

Thanks,

Sir,

Yes, I would look at replacing the casing o-ring, P/N 5K230, and/or the mechanical seal, P/N 10K10. The 5K230 we do not have on our website for a replacement part, but, the 10K10 can be purchased from our website. If you would like pricing for the 5K230, then call our office and talk to one of our representatives.
