Submersible pump quits after 10 seconds

I have an old gould submersible pump model 7Eh05422
1/2 hp 115v. The pump runs approx 10 seconds then quits. It will restart in
approx 1 minute and runs again for 10 seconds. It repeats this.

Sounds like you may have a bad motor. I would have the pump pulled and have the motor tested. You can also ohm out the windings in the motor to see if the values are within the motor manufacturers specifications.
