Gould WS5012D4

Postby TimR » Tue Jan 20, 2015 12:44 pm

I recently installed a Gould WS5012D4 pump and wired it into an existing Peabody Barnes control panel exactly as the old one came out. There was no wiring diagrams for either one, and have not been able to locate any info online. My concern is whether an external capacitor is needed or if it is internal in the motor housing? Also a link to a wiring diagram would be much appreciated. Thanks

Goulds does not supply a wiring diagram with that style pump. Basically two hots and a ground. That particular pump has internal capacitors, therefore, external capacitors are not needed or should be removed if they are in the existing panel.
