Jet pump instead of a submersible

Postby lwparchive » Tue Nov 06, 2012 5:07 pm

WHERE I LIVE; ALL THE WELLS HAVE SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS. I REPLACED MINE ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND IT ALREADY SEEMS TO HAVE IMPELLER PROBLEMS. MY PIPE EXTENDS TO 80'. CAN I USE A GOULDS VERTICAL DEEP WELL PUMP ON A WELL AT THAT DEPTH? AND WILL IT ADAPT TO THE 4" CASING THAT I HAVE? I WAS TOLD THAT IF IT WERE A JET PUMP THAT IT WOULD WORK AT THAT DEPTH, BUT HE WAS A LAY-PERSON; NOT AN EXPERT ON PUMPS AS YOU GUYS OBVIOUSLY ARE. THANKS FOR ANY HELP. IT'S JUST THAT AROUND HERE; THEY JUST WANT TO SELL YOU AN EXPENSIVE SUBMERSIBLE. THANK YOU.

You can use any one of the convertible jet pumps listed. Each will allow for a twin pipe system in a 4" well.
