I am interested in a Goulds 3HP sprinkler pump. I currently do not have a system. Can I buy a 3 phase system for a typical residential home or do I require a 1 phase because of the service panel? Thanks.

Unless you have three phase power at your house, then, you need to purchase a single phase pump.
