Do I need to use a tank with a GT15

Do i need a check valve & tank with goulds gt15? this is for a shallow well.

Dependent upon the application, it is not necessary to use either a check valve or tank. If the system is going to utilize a pump start relay in order to turn the pump on, then you would not need a tank. The drawback is if one of your solenoid valves do not operate, then you have the possibility of causing damage to either the pump or your piping or both.
