Pumping from a holding tank

Postby lwparchive » Tue Nov 06, 2012 10:51 am

Hi, I have a well with a 1HP submersible pump, along with a single bladder type pressure tank. I believe the water table is low, because over the past
12 months our pressure has dropped to a point only 1 faucet can run at a time. I have amped the well pump and it runs at 6 amps for 120 volts, and there are no leaks. I just purchased a 5K gallon holding tank and now I'm looking for a booster pump. is the Gould's GT15 a good option?

You would be better off with the J15S instead of the GT15. The GT series pumps are designed for low pressure/high volume applications and I would believe you would not satisfied with the output pressure of the GT15.
