Going to a smaller pump

Postby lwparchive » Fri Nov 09, 2012 4:15 pm

Hi,

I currently use a Gould J10S to supply my house (with 2 pressure tanks) with water from my tank. I am off the grid and sometimes find it draws too many amps. Could I replace this with a J5 or a J5SH for lower amp draw? If so which would be recommended the J5 or J5SH?

Thanks!

I would recommend the J5SH so that you can achieve a little more water at 50 PSI or, if you want, you would be able to increase your shutoff pressure to 60 PSI.
