Pump was flooded

Postby lwparchive » Wed Jan 02, 2013 4:20 pm

I've previously had a Gould pump for my irrigation system (pump water from my reservoir to my yard); 2 years ago, my pump hole flooded with water and the pump was submerged for several weeks w/out ever running. A local repairman told me the pump was "shot." Is there any part of it that is salvageable? I've since installed another pump (I cannot recall the name...Red Devil?) and it has been a reall disappointment.

You might be able to replace the electric motor.
