Energy Efficient Submersible

Postby lwparchive » Tue Nov 06, 2012 12:11 pm

Hi:

We have a well that is 165 feet deep. I do not recall what size (HP) motor is currently installed, nor do I know the gpm capacity. It services a 3800 sq ft home with fairly normal water requirements (washer, dishwasher, showers, sinks). When the well was first drilled, we got a flow of over 20 gpm. We may have to pull the pump because the check valve has failed, and since the pump is 25 years old, we may as well replace it since we're pulling it out anyway. The current pump motor runs from a 15 amp double breaker (220V), but I haven't checked whether it is 2-wire or 3-wire.

the energy saving advertisement by Gould attracted me to that line of pumps. Do you have any feelings about that? Is it true?

Gould has a good reputation for well pumps, but I know that this line of well pumps is fairly new (September 2010). Any comments that you have would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Bob

The Gould's pump line of submersibles are extremely reliable. I am sure you will be pleased with your new pump.
